Smart City – Smart Region – Smart Community is a complex view of creating high-quality infrastructure for living and providing high-quality public services connected to social challenges. SMART supports cooperation between research organizations, private and public sectors, strengthens the specialization of the field focus of UJEP, interdisciplinary cooperation, development of research teams, and SMART topics.

Based on the definition of Smart City of the European Commission:

“A smart city is a place where the traditional networks and services are made more efficient with the use of digital and telecommunication technologies, for the benefit of its inhabitants and businesses.”
