Combating COVID-19 is a major challenge for scientists around the world. Few hesitate, engaging in the fight against new coronavirus takes place in various forms, including at our university in Ústí nad Labem. However, it is not only about the production of protective equipment, but also about the in-depth study of the chemical processes that may be victorious in the fight against the virus. Colleagues from the Faculty of the Environment and the Faculty of Science are engaged in research on so-called nanozymes – materials that have recently been shown to inactivate influenza viruses.
